Please note, the role is currently remote and there is flexibility on the location within the UK, however, there will be a requirement to attend the office once government guidelines permit.

Job role: Senior Project Manager 

Location: London (Wimbledon)

Salary: £70,000 - £85,000

Main function

Our Delivery team has provided professional services to over 100+ international finance clients who have all implemented our software to run their financing business. They provide project implementation services for approximately 20 separate client engagements at any given time, from small projects for start-up finance companies of less than one hundred days effort through to multi-country delivery programs for major international lenders running into thousands of days.

The success of the team is not simply dependent on the thoroughness and quality of our implementation methodology and supporting tools but also on our ability to implement change / upgrade projects with our clients drawing on many years’ experience and a deep understanding of our industry. As a result we are looking for an outstanding Senior Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of implementation and upgrade projects for our market leading Lendscape platform.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be the face of the company to our clients as the key HPD Lendscape representative for their project. You must be prepared to operate a portfolio of projects end-to-end which includes assisting the Commercial team to evaluate new opportunities in a timely manner. You will work alongside Business Consultants, Technical Consultants and Business and Technology Analysts to scope, manage, and deliver a wide variety of projects, globally. Critical to the success of any project will be your ability to work collaboratively with different teams throughout the company to ensure that tasks are well understood, progress is known and that we keep our delivery promises to our customers.  At any point in time throughout the duration of the project we would expect you to be able to provide an understanding of the project status from both a delivery perspective as well as a commercial perspective.  Projects will be deemed successful when they deliver for both the customer and for HPD Lendscape.

HPD Lendscape has an ever-evolving project methodology and accompanying processes.  You will assist the Head of Delivery in developing our processes further through continuous improvement. You will be trained on our modern systems and tooling in support of project delivery, being expected to make recommendations on how to improve the use of these tools to make further efficiency improvements where possible.

Core Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Manage a portfolio of projects including ownership of governance
    • Thrive working on projects in parallel
    • Dynamically prioritise workload in order to deliver in complex scenarios
  • Own successful delivery across cost, time & quality
    • Continually build and improve processes to enable better delivery with less effort
    • Own key documents across the lifecycle including project scoping that provides the basis of contracts, reports, and project specific deliverables
  • Foster and develop client relationships
    • Be an ambassador for HPD Lendscape
    • Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels: technical and non-technical
    • Own reporting and communication with customers and internal HPD Lendscape management which includes visibility of status, risks and progress to target
  • Be an internal leader for all project work
    • Work with sales (on scoping)
    • Work closely with Heads of Technical Services, Delivery and Engineering to ensure delivery standards are met
  • Have a broad interest in financial services and technology with the ability to understand the business and technical aspects of software delivery
  • Project management experience essential with experience in the following as preferable:
    • Jira
    • ITIL
    • Agile
    • Financial Services

Required Skills and competencies

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of project delivery and knowledge of mainstream delivery methodologies, ideally with experience of multi-country delivery programmes. You shall be a highly motivated self-starter with strong communication skills, capable of motivating and enthusing others towards the effective delivery of our Lendscape platform, able to persuade and explain project imperatives, helping colleagues prioritise their work in the best interests of all of our customers and the HPD Lendscape business.

This is the ideal role for someone who wishes to develop and shape a management role and we are looking for someone who has the vision and ambition to take on the planning, co-ordination and people management required of all our implementation and upgrade delivery projects.

In addition, the successful candidate shall have:

  • Relevant, recent and comprehensive experience in a similar role within an organisation delivering projects and / or implementing systems
  • Exceptional project management skills including planning, tracking and communication
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • A keen commercial awareness and an ability to present the status of a project in commercial terms, assisting the our finance team where necessary with billing and forecast information
  • The ability to understand and assimilate business and technical information and communicate issues and updates in simple terms to various stakeholders
  • Experience of working with the Atlassian toolset, including JIRA, advantageous
