Main Function

Our Technical Services team provides day-to-day service to over 100+ international finance clients who are all utilising our software to run their financing business. They provide a hosted managed service for approximately one third of our clients, as well as supporting all our clients’ technical teams, running large commercial lending portfolios.

The success of the team is not simply dependent on the speed and quality of our advice and support but also on our ability to implement change / upgrade projects directly with our clients. As a result we are looking for an outstanding Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of technical and upgrade projects for both on-premise and hosted clients.

As Project Manager you will be the face of the company to our clients as the key HPD representative for their project. You must be prepared to operate a portfolio of technical projects end-to-end which includes assisting the Commercial team to evaluate new opportunities in a timely manner. You will work alongside Technical Consultants to scope, manage, and deliver a wide variety of technical projects. For upgrade projects you will also be teaming up with our Business Consultants to assist with the functional aspects required to deliver a successful upgrade as well as our Engineering team providing development support for any required changes to our software alongside the upgrade.

Whilst this is a new role within the Technical Services team we have an established set of project management processes and tooling via our existing Delivery team who are typically responsible for new implementations and business change projects. You will work closely with Delivery to ensure we adopt common project management approaches across the business.

Salary: £75,000

Required Skills and competencies

We are looking for a Project Manager with technical knowledge allowing them to lead our more technical projects. You shall be a self-starter, capable of developing your own tools and methods for the effective delivery of technical projects balanced with adopting best project management practice utilised in the wider business.

This is the ideal role for someone who wishes to develop and shape a management role and we are looking for someone who has the vision and ambition to take on the planning, co-ordination and control of all our technical focused projects.

In addition, the successful candidate shall have:

  • Relevant, recent and comprehensive experience in a similar role within an organisation delivering technical projects and / or implementing systems
  • Exceptional project management skills including planning, tracking and communication
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • The ability to understand and assimilate technical information and communicate issues and updates in simple terms to various stakeholders
  • Have a broad interest in technology with the ability to understand technical aspects of software delivery
  • Experience of working with the Atlassian toolset, including JIRA, advantageous
  • Project management experience advantageous but the desire to develop such experience is more important alongside experience of:
    • Jira
    • ITIL
    • Agile
    • Financial Services

Please note, the role is currently remote and there is flexibility on the location within the UK, however, there will be a requirement to attend the office once government guidelines permit.
